Recognize your Awesome Stage Manager
Last year, the IT Awards were so excited to be able to honor the work of one of the hardest working and sometimes least recognized members of our production teams, the Stage Manager. We think we are the first awards organization to present an award for Stage Management along with all the other production awards. Something that was long overdue.
We were privileged to honor an extraordinary Stage Manager, Jillian Zeman, who was the first ever recipient of the Outstanding Stage Manager Award.
Like the other production awards, the judges who attended productions through out the season entered scores for how the technical elements worked together. Those scores will be used to inform the decisions of the Outstanding Stage Manager Committee (OSMC) as they review applications and select the 2010 Outstanding Stage Manager.
Chaired by Stephanie Cox-Williams and assistant chaired by Morgan Lindsey Tachco, the OSMC welcomes two new members this year. Please join us in welcoming Jillian Zeman and Temar Underwood. (see bios below)
If you registered a production with the IT Awards for the 2009-2010 season, your stage manager is eligible for this award. However, the judge's scores and OSMC deliberations are only one part of the process for selecting the OSM. The rest is up to you and your production team.
Please take a moment to review the application for Outstanding Stage Manager at:
The deadline for submitting an application is Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 6pm.
Help us recognize your awesome stage manager.
