  • Indie Theatre Midsummer Classic
Mark your calendar for the Indie Theatre Softball Game Saturday, July 27th at 5pm on the Great Lawn!
  • Leaders Moving On
Two Indie theatre leaders announced their plans this month to move on from their current positions in Indie theatre:
         * Taryn Sacramone, Executive Director of Astoria Performing Arts Center since 2005, will be joining the Queens Theatre as their new Managing Director
         * James Comtois stepped down as Co-Artistic Director of Nosedive Productions. Watch out for their gala in September honoring James.
  • LIT Fund Fundraiser
You know those 5 cents per ticket you give the LIT Fund after your production closes?  Well, it's a good start, but LIT Fund is holding a party on July 28th, "Get LIT and Bump The Fund", to raise a little extra for the Fund's first funding cycle.  6-8pm at The Duplex in the Cabaret
  • More Funding Cuts
Please take a moment to tell Congress why they should invest in the Corporation for National and Community Service

SPOTLIGHT ON

VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers2012a
Summer is here and so is the first big event of the IT Season, the Nomination Announcement Party! Each year this huge celebration is packed with Indie artists and supporters.

We take pride in producing one of the biggest events of the Off-Off-Broadway season and we need your help to make this night special.

We are in need of a volunteer team of at least 35 people!

Volunteers2012b
We always have a great time and we want our volunteers to be able celebrate as well. Most of the jobs are divided into two shifts, so that everyone will have an opportunity to enjoy the party.
